Beyond the Veil

Pulling from my family’s Irish roots by referencing some Irish mythology, this piece depicts the Fae Realm and its intersection with our own. 
 
You can see into the fae realm using a Hagstone, pictured here, similar to the Looking Stone from Coraline. The fae realm contrasts the dark coolness of our own world with its warm highly saturated hues, but there is an uneasiness to the harshness of that warmth acting as a warning for the dangers that lie beyond the veil.
